Dr Wang Yi Shi is a Ministry of Health- accredited consultant dermatologist with a wealth of clinical experience in the treatment of skin, hair and nail conditions. She worked as a consultant dermatologist at Changi General Hospital before starting her private practice, W Skin and Laser Clinic in 2012.
Dr Wang graduated with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Melbourne in 1999. She trained in Internal Medicine and received the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians(MRCP) from the United Kingdom in 2003. She subsequently underwent specialist training in dermatology at The National Skin Centre and Changi General Hospital, Singapore.
In 2009, she was awarded Singhealth’s Health Manpower Development Plan Award to pursue training in contact dermatitis, patch testing and drug allergy at the Skin and Cancer Foundation of Victoria and the Royal Alfred Hospital, Australia.
Active in dermatological research and education, Dr Wang has published numerous scientific research articles in peer-reviewed medical journals. She was previously senior clinical lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and was actively involved in the teaching of junior doctors in Dermatology during her tenure at Changi General Hospital.
Dr Wang is honoured to have been the recipient of Best Service Award by Changi General Hospital.
Dr Wang is a member of the Royal College of Physicians(United Kingdom), and Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore. She is also a member of the Dermatological Society of Singapore and the Allergy and Clinical Immunology Society of Singapore.
Fluent in English and Chinese, Dr Wang is passionate about helping patients young and old in a holistic manner to optimize their skin health, and empowering them with accurate, up-to-date information about the various treatment options for their skin conditions.
